What is it like to live in Tbilisi? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Tbilisi is a capital of Georgia and it is not so famous between international students. But I would recommend this city for one semester and you will never be able to forget that experience.

What is the student lifestyle like in Tbilisi?

In Tbilisi there are many students and when you go to streets you can only see students and pupils because they are always active.

How much does it cost to live in Tbilisi?

Tbilisi is very very cheap place. Alcohol and tobacco is very cheap ... For example, here, in Bragança one package costs about 4,6 euros and in Georgia it is less then 1 euro... Transport is very cheap too.. and about flats ...It depends, some people can find cheap houses but some prefer to be more comfortable so it depends.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Tbilisi? Is there any advice you can give?

Not at all.... It's very easy because there are advertisements everywhere and you just need to chose the location .. I know many international students at my university and about prices they are always setisfied.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

This is the best part there. In Georgia we have completely different culture and you will be amazed everyday. We have amazing food, for example Xachapuri,xinkali,mwvadi and lots of other dishes. And also Georgia is the place of wine.. the oldest land where wine is discovered. So you will be able to see the culture how to make wine and taste it, you can't find such wine anywhere because in this land there is more than 500 kinds of grapes.

What places would you recommend visiting in Tbilisi?

Whole old Tbilisi is historical, every place has its own story, there are many religious places and some relieves from our past enemies. You will be able to see many charches... Beautiful bridges,waterfall..And so on..

Is it good to eat out in Tbilisi? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Out of Tbilisi is completely different world ... The country itself is very small but you will never be able to discover it totally.. if you go out of Tbilisi in mountains they have different traditions and food ... If you go by the sea it's more like Europe but deep in villages they talk differently and cook differently, we have many different places so it's impossible to stay at home doing nothing...While transport is so cheap

Is the nightlife good in Tbilisi? Where is good to go?

Nightlife is completely normal...Nothing special ..You can find many places, clubs, bars, restaurants, and music is of course different. I should mention here, that people really like techno.

What advice would you give future students heading to Tbilisi?

At first I would advice them to contact me ...
Than ... Tbilisi is good place for one semester I think because teachers are not loyal... You should really do something to pass .. they won't give you the grade for nothing. Also it's better to go in spring lots of activities and not cold.
