What is it like to live in Tbilisi? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Its wonderful to live in Tbilisi! Its a small city, but has a lot to offer! Wonderful places to meet expats, awesome local food and friendly people. Transportation is easy and affordable. The city is lovely at night and also during the day. But the country Georgia has a lot to offer for tourists from adventure sports to sightseeing to shopping ( to an extent) to skiing adn walking tours, My most favourite thing about Tbilisi is that every corner has an old church with history and paintings :)I would recommend visiting for sure and enjoy the culture, history and cuisine :)!

Student life in Tbilisi is affordable. Except the rent. Food is cheap, public transport is cheap, we get student cards which offers discounts!

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Tbilisi? Is there any advice you can give?

Its not if your going to stay on a sharing basis. Some areas like the Saburtalo and Vake area are expensive. Apart from that it is affordable!

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is cheap if you cook on your own. Restaurants are expensive. But local cuisine restaurants are cheap. You get a wide variety of dishes and you get shaurma ( its a meat wrap with salad and sauces) and various patties with bean, mushroom, cheese and potatoes. My favourite will always be Khinkali ( meat dumplings), Ostri ( Spicy beef stew), Penovani ( bean puff pastry), Satsivi (cold turkey with spices) and Georgian Bread fresh from Oven!

Even the Turkish restaurants are awesome!

What places would you recommend visiting in Tbilisi?

You can see everything in the city in two days like the famous squares ( Liberty, Marjanishvili etc). The cable car, The theme park, the famous Turtle lake and Lisi lake, Old Tbilisi sulphur baths and my favourite the Biggest Orthodox cathedral in the world "The Sameba Cathedral of Holy Trinity"!

But you should visit Kazbegi mountain, Batumi, Bakuriani, Borjomi, Khaketi ( the wine city) and of course Kutaisi( the place os ancient dinosours) and stalgamite caves!

Well, Tbilisi is indeed a nice place to live. Crime rate is very very low. There is patrol 24/7 and you will indeed enjoy your stay here. Don't forget to visit "Luca Polare and the thousands of cafe's" its going to be wonderful and memorable experience like none!
