Roma shop Tbilisi

The introduction

Hello everyone, I hope, that you are all doing just fine!

In this article I want to tell you about this place in Tbilisi, where I usually go to buy some good baking stuff and some birthday things and it’s a great place for that, because everything is in this one shop and you won’t need to go from place to place to just buy some necessary things for the birthdays or just baking and cooking. It's a place, which, I guess, not so many people know about and those who know about it, buy all the thigns there and you should see the queues outside the shop when it's holidays or big days like that, when everybody needs some things for cooking or partying of baking, etc.

This place is called Roma and it’s a small shop in the Pasazhi shopping center, which is located on Station square nearby the station square metro station, so that it’s really easy to get there and buy some stuff. And, besides, you can either pay with cash or by credit card or debit card or whatever, so that it’s really easy to go shopping there. Well, some time earlier, they didn't have that thing, when you can pay by your credit or debit card and that was pretty bad, because sometimes you just don't have the cash with you and you happen to go there and you can't really buy anything because of that. To be honest, I didn't want to shop in that shop back then because I only could pay by cash and since my card has a commision for withdrawing the money, I didn't want to withdraw some money from my account.

About Roma shop

Well, Roma shop hasn’t been there for quite some time, however, it has been there for a long time and then they opened the shop and went to this shop called Roma, which is a pretty good place for everything for parties and cooking and stuff like that. It’s considerably small shop, however, they have lots of different and necessary things for parties or home or baking and preparing some stuff and the prices are pretty reasonable, so that you don’t have to pay too much in things, that you can buy in normal prices.

When you go to the large supermarkets , things like those, I mean, the birthday party candles and lights and baking stuff and pastry costs too expensive comparing to the prices in Roma shop and that’s why I love going there and shopping there for any necessary thing, that I need for the birthdays.

How to get there

Well, getting there is pretty easy, because it’s just nearby the metro station Station square and everyone just knows this place, I guess, because it’s a  pretty busy place and there are so many things located there, that you can’t really find them all anywhere else. It’s just everything is there in one place and that’s why most of the people go there to buy some things or sell some things and stuff like that.

So that, I recommend you get there by metro and it will be a very easy thing to do that, while getting there by bus is a pretty much different or getting there by microbus. However, there are many buses and microbuses just going there or they just have their depot there and they stand there waiting for their turn to go and move around the city. For example, you can take bus no.37 or 78 or 9, etc. and they will all get to the station square , however, they have their stop not very nearby to the Pasazhi shopping center, where this Roma shop is located. You can also take microbus no.141, which goes there and it costs 80 tetris. I know that, because it’s last stop is just nearby my apartment, however, I still usually go to the Pasazhi shopping center by metro, because that way I spare my money and, besides, the metro is pretty fast and efficient way to get around the city and get to the Roma shop, if you want to know the truth.

And, well, if you are going there by metro, then you should know, that everything goes to the station square metro station and you can just easily get there. If you are going to the station square metro station from vazha-pshavela or Delisi or places from there, you should just walk up the stairs and then go to the escalators. However, if you are going there from Varketili or Didube or somewhere else, you should first take the stairs and then walk through that tunnel and then walk up the escalators and then you will be nearby the Pasazhi shopping center and then you just have to walk down towards Pasazhi shopping center, which is a one storey building with orange and dark green colours and you will know it at once, I must say. When you get into the Pasazhi shopping center, you just have to walk down all the way until you get to those people, who sell some spices and cakes biscuits and Churchkhelas and souvenirs and then you have to go to the right side and soon you will see this shop on your right side and there’s a sign on the door saying “Roma” and that’s how you make sure, that it’s the right shop.
