How it all started

Hello everyone! This is my another article, in which I want to tell you about my trip to Denmark and how it all started. It was an amazing experience and though it was not from Erasmus project or anything, it was nothing less, so that’s why I want to share my summer experience in Copenhagen with you.

Well, it all started with those online courses, like MOOC, which offer people all the different learning courses online for free and I was registered in one of those and once I got an email, telling me , that I could participate in a summer course of medicine and the lectures would be about internal medicine and I could even choose which subjects I wanted to have there, however, this was not for free and, besides, we had to send applications and motivational letters, etc. So, I took the liberty of sending those things and waited for the answer.

The answer came some weeks later, telling me, that I had been chosen for this program and now I had to decide, whether or not I still wanted to participate. Well, the fee for participation in one course was about 4500 DKK, so that it was not very cheap, as you would have guessed. However, it was a great opportunity for me and that’s why I decided to go there, because I was pretty sure, that I would gain a lot of knowledge and experience while being there in the University of Copenhagen!

Turkish Airlines

There were some options for the tickets and the prices ranged from 200 euros to pretty high, however, I wanted to have a ticket for a low price, of course, so that I was searching for those cheapest flight tickets for myself. Then there was the thing, too, that I was not going to have a return ticket from Copenhagen, because I wasn’t going to stay there after the course. After that I was going to Utrecht for another course in medicine, so that I needed to have a return flight from Amsterdam. That’s why I searched for flight tickets like Tbilisi – Copenhagen and Amsterdam – Tbilisi, and that was when I saw those cheap flight tickets, that was offering the Turkish airlines and, to be honest, I was kind of surprised, because I thought , that they had some high prices and I thought , that Pegasus or some other company would have a cheaper flight tickets. But seeing this offer from Turkish airlines, I bought those tickets at once and I was pretty pleased with that!

I must say, that Turkish airlines is a pretty good company and it was my first time on their board. I didn’t realize, that they would offer a meal to economy class passengers, but when I was buying the tickets online, there was this gap, where I had to choose which type of meal I wanted to have and there were some pretty good options. I choose the standard meal, however, there was a gluten-free meal and seafood and other stuff, too. You know, buying tickets online is a pretty good service and an easy way not to bother going to their office and asking questions and all the other stuff. So that, I really recommend you buy flight tickets online. And you can buy them cheaper, than when going to some offices, where they offer you to help buying the tickets. And, besides, I had all the freedom to choose whatever I wanted and the seat I wanted and the meal I wanted, so that it was a pretty good idea to buy tickets online on this web page, however, then it was until it was 24 hours until the flight, when I could check in online and it was pretty hard to wait that long to check in online.

Confiscated things

I have been to Tbilisi international airport many times and, I must tell you, that it’s a pretty beautiful place, however, this time I saw something strange there. Well, of course, we checked-in and got upstairs and I waved my family good-bye and did all the procedures and stuff and then I was inside the airport with all the cafes and duty frees and everything, of course, and the gate where I was supposed to go in was just there in front of me, so that I didn’t have to walk around there in the airport.  To be honest, the airport is not that big itself, so that you don’t really have to look for the gates and everything, because most of them are pretty close to the passport control in the entrance.

The very first thing, that I saw there in the airport was this transparent window box of confiscated things there and it was pretty fascinating, because I didn’t really understand whether those things were really confiscated or it was a joke or something. But I guess, it really was confiscated, because there are all the strange people in the world and it could have been some of them taking some of those things with them.

You know, there were all those strange things in the window box, such as bones of some animals and their heads and there was even a crocodile head with all those teeth and stuff. I think, it was a joke or something else. However, this was really an amusing thing and if you are in Tbilisi international airport some time, you should definitely see this thing there.
