In this article I want to tell you about this store in Georgia called Biblusi which is one of people’s favourite bookstore here. And it’s not just a bookstore, rather, you can find some other things there too; that’s why many people like to visit this store.

There are plenty of books about different topics and there are also scholar books, some journals and magazines and notebooks and all the stationery. There you can also find some souvenirs of Georgia and its cities and well-known places.

About Biblusi bookstore

The Biblusi bookstore network was founded on 23rd of March in 2008 and it has been growing since then. It’s the largest multimedia holding in the whole Georgia. It has more than 50 branches in the country and it offers many things to its buyers.

They have their website too, of course, which is Biblusi where you can find information in Georgian, English and Russian languages. You can also buy things online very easily and the carrier will bring your purchase at your home.

You can also see the books catalogue on their webpage, which is a very comfortable thing for anyone, so that you won’t have to go to any of the stores of Biblusi to find out whether they have or not the book you need.

Biblusi also has their bonus card, which buyers can obtain and have some bonus points on themand then they can just buy anything with those points in the store after collecting some amount.

The locations

There are many Biblusi stores in Tbilisi and in the whole Georgia. One of the stores, which I visit very often, is located in the City Mall on Kavtaradze street and this one is a pretty large store. That was the first Biblusi store which I visited, I guess. They have all those books and magazines and stationery which you can shop very comfortably.

Another Biblusi store is located on Rustaveli avenue nº 40/1 and you can get there by getting out of the Rustaveli metro station and walking down towards the Liberty Square. This Biblusi store is a little bit tricky to find, however, there’s a sign so you can reach it without too much trouble.

Another Biblusi store is located just above the Varketili metro station; I like visiting it because it’s on my way home. It’s not an small store and it’s really on a good place, because I usually use metro to move around the city and when I get out of the metro, there’s just this escalator and then I get to the Biblusi store.

You can find another Biblusi store in East Point, just in front of Carrefour. It’s a pretty large store which I really like visiting because I usually go shopping to Carrefour; so that while I’m there, I can visit Biblusi store and buy some things that I need.

Another Biblusi store is in 3rd floor of the the shopping center Tbilisi Central. It’s just there where you can buy tickets for the train and where there is the railway station, so that many people get there and it’s kind of a popular place among people. You can get there by metro, too. It’s nearby the Station Square metro station; just a couple of steps away. It’s a really large store where there are many books and stationery stuff and other things, so of course, you can find more things there than in other smaller stores.

Again, another Biblusi store is also in Isani Mall. Just when you get inside, you will notice that Biblusi store there. You can get there by metro where you should get out at the Isani metro station, cross the road and walk down to the Isani Mall. It’s not very close by, but still, you can walk for 10 minutes or so and you will be there. You can also get there by bus nº 2 or 72, there are also many microbuses going to that direction, for example: microbus nº 2 or 176.

Well, there are more Biblusi stores around the city, but I think that I have written about most of them, or at least, these are the ones that I usually visit, so that you can visit them too. Besides, they are easily accessible by any transport, because they are really close to metro stations, mostly, and the shopping centers.

The products

Biblusi store is mainly a book store, however, there are not only books there. You can find plenty of other things, including stationery and some toys.

There are books in Georgian, English and Russian and you will find them organised well on shelves. There are also books sorted by genres and purpose. Some of the books are scholar books and people usually buy their books for studies in Biblusi bookstores. To be honest, I preferred buying my school books in Biblusi bookstores when I was studying at school.

There are many English books in Biblusi bookstores. If you want any book in English for studying or reading, there are plenty of them in Biblusi bookstores at reasonable prices. You can buy books for IELTS or TOEFL or FCE and others and practice tests in English language, etc. There are plenty of dictionaries. There are also those English study book series which my sister has already collected and which are pretty good because they also have some CD-ROMs with them. You can also buy some dictionaries and pocket books for other languages for travellers or people like that.

Well, there are lots of encyclopedias there in Biblusi stores too, which are really good, however, most of them are for children because there are is not much content inside. They are for school students, I guess, with lots of pictures and small texts.

What I especially like about the Biblusi bookstores is that they have such a variety of stationery. You can find there almost everything: great pens and pencils and rubbers and scissors. They also have plenty of notebooks, which are all different and very lovely.

You can also find some kind of toys in Biblusi bookstores. They have some darts and puzzles and things like that which are all at reasonable prices.

There are weekly sales on some books in Biblusi bookstores when you can buy them at very cheap prices. You can see the week offers on their website and decide whether you want anything to buy or not. You can also buy them online and the carrier will bring them to you.

So that, Biblusi is not just a bookstore, it’s a pretty good place to buy anything for yourself or for a gift to someone, because there are many different things to choose from. And now that you know about its locations, you can easily find a Biblusi store in Tbilisi to visit and see it yourself!
