Tashkent is one of the most important business centers in Central Asia. Present-day Tashkent is one of the most beautiful cities in Asia, and its architecture is unique; the hospitality and friendliness of Tashkent people is amazing. The city is more than 2200 years old and many remarkable events, both in peace and war, have taken place during the history of Tashkent, including many periods of rise and decline. Is it difficult to find accommodation in Tashkent? Is there any advice you can give?

When looking for accommodation, be certain to use a local representative unless your spoken Uzbek is particularly excellent. Rents will generally be inflated for expats, as much as an extra 50 percent what would be asked of a local, so a local negotiator will be required. However, even with the inflated prices, the majority of accommodation even in the better parts of Tashkent is still cheap by western standards

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Among dishes taken from other nations there are roast, kebab, bogursak, straws, pelmeni (meat dumpling), manti, lagman and etc. However in turn such native Uzbek food as plov, dimlama, buglama, shurpa, mastava and many others. My favorite one is plov.

What places would you recommend visiting in Tashkent?

Top cultural attractions and tourist sights in Tashkent, are the best museums, galleries, theaters, opera, historical buildings, modern sights, memorials, monuments. Moreover very attractive place in Tashkent is the Old City, where you can enjoy an "oriental exotic" and buy something on Chorsu Bazaar.

Is it good to eat out in Tashkent? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There are wonderful international cuisines and traditional restaurants from cheap price to luxury dining, afternoon tea to Sunday roast. My favourite spots are:

Ye Olde Chelsea Arms Pub
Churchill Cigar Bar
Slavyanka Russian Cafe
Izumi Japanese Restaurant
Central Asian Plov Center
Affresco Italian Restaurant
Gasthaus Restaurant & Pub

If you prefer the restaurants, clubs & bars with live music and dance show programs. I would recommend you to go there

Al-Qasr Restaurant

Is the nightlife good in Tashkent? Where is good to go?

Tashkent is lovely and lively place in night time. There are lots of Night Clubs, Bars, and Disco Clubs scattered all over Tashkent. Describing all of them here is next to impossible. So I give you the Best of Bests as the picks for your ready reference, keeping in view that these are popular among Tourists visiting Tashkent, by their wonderful experience.

Generally in these Night Clubs what you get is choice cuisines of European, Uzbek, Russian, Chinese, Indian or mixed varieties, to fill up your stomach sumptuously. These can be sent down with choicest wines or the world-famous Russian Vodka.

These Night Clubs mostly open after 8 pm - in some cases even at 6 pm - and continue to delight Tourists throughout the night.here are some of the more popular ones:

a. Club 25: Club 25 is a highly visited pub where the dance floor seems to come alive on its own. The music can be extremely peppy and there is a lot of space in this disco. It is also well located and the entry fee is reasonable.
b. Sky Night Club: Le Grande Plaza’s Sky Night Club is the frontrunner when it comes to the best clubs of Tashkent. Its USP is its music and crowd. For perfect atmosphere and ambience, this club is recommended under all the Tashkent packages.

What advice would you give future students heading to Tashkent?

Uzbekistan one of the incredible country and you never regret studying there. You can be a witness the tradition of old and modern Asia. Even you experience cultural shock it will give you positive impressions. The most of uzbek population respect foreigners and they are always welcome them. Just try to attitude them by their traditional way, they will show you their respectfulness twice.
