I would recommend Tashkent to visit and stay long-term. People are extremely hospitable and food and weather are good. Accommodation is cheap.

It is not difficult to find accommodation in Tashkent. You can search online and sign the contract after you visit and like the flat or house. There are no deposit fees and key money. No need to pay 1-2 months pay in advance.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Food is great - there are specialized restaurants for Asian, European, Indian and Uzbek cuisine. Prices are affordable.

Tashkent is extremely safe city, therefore you can walk, take a taxi and visit nightclubs any time you want. The nightlife is diverse and rich.

Enjoy your stay in Tashkent and travel all over Uzbekistan. Visit Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, and also my hometown Margilan in the Ferghana Valley!
