Miami

Miami is a very nice place located near the river in Tampere. During the day it is a restaurant and during the night it is a bar/night club. There is also the upstairs Hullu Porro which is another bar where you can go and forth during the night.

During the day you can eat here some really nice food. The selection is from the world kitchen. There is also the open buffet with meats, rice, potatoes, fishes and all kinds of other stuff like pasta or vegetables. There is the salad bar with lot of fruits and there are also some nice desserts.

Miami has nice terraces and it has a big space so you don't feel that place is overcrowded. You can also easily go out to the terrace to take fresh air or to take a smoke. The prices are normal for Tampere and some stuff are cheaper than most of the nightclubs in the city.

Miami hosts international parties every week and most of the time the place is full of Erasmus students.

It is more students than locals actually. It is also free entry before 23:00. A jar of nice beer is cheap for students so I would recommend this.

The music is good in Miami and the best Dj that play there it is Dj Cliff. Usually his parties are the best international events in the city and most likely in all the Finland.

There is also always a photographer working in Miami who takes pictures and you can see afterwards on their facebook pages some nice photos and memories.

All in all I would definitely recommend this place to party, Erasmus or not, if you are in Tampere!

Miami is just one of many exactly same night clubs in Tampere. Nothing special other than very large terrace and when it is -20 C in winter, that terrace is useless.

Tampere at night

Problem with Miami is they have one of the worst DJ in Tampere. I mean Tampere is pretty bad place to find a nice DJ anyway but DJ Cliff takes it to new levels. Probably that is the reason from more than 20 different annual student parties taking place in various places in Tampere, Miami has 0.

My advice is to go and try the place for a their so called international nights for once, drink over priced terrible beer and move on to other places where you can actually meet local students.
