Pirita Beach and its secrets

Published by flag-pt Nizzie ... — 4 years ago

Going to Pirita beach to take a walk is something that I used to do frequently during my stay in Tallinn as an Erasmus student. It is not the type of beach I’m used to go and actually I have some problems in calling it a “beach” (yeah, I’m from Portugal and for me a beach must have sand... a lot of that), but it’s definitely a nice place to go while in Tallinn.

You can take the bus number 1A, 8, 34A or 38 from the city center and it will take you only a couple of minutes to arrive there.

My advice is to get off at Pirita stop and not before, because from there you have the chance to visit the 'Pirita klooster', a very ancient monastery. I’m sure you will be impressed by the ruins and the (quite scary) cemetery!
