What is it like to live in Stuttgart? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Rich in culture with many museums, theaters, cinemas and an opera. It's also very calm for a city this size. It's very green and there are many students.

What is the student lifestyle like in Stuttgart?

It can be tough to find an accommodation if you are on a budget. Stuttgart isn't very cheap but no big city in Germany is except Berlin and Cologne maybe. But besides that, you should be able to find many students from all across the world in Stuttgart.

How much does it cost to live in Stuttgart?

Depends on the circumstances. If you're lucky enough to get into a dorm, it may cost you under 300€. Normally though one has to count with 400€ per month for rent only. Students get a relatively cheap students ticket for 200 in the semester. Rest depends on your lifestyle really.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Stuttgart? Is there any advice you can give?

It is. In most cities it is. Book it ahead of time definately and be aware of the prices. Also don't try search for flats in the Centre. Won't be able to afford it probably. Be sure to check out other parts of the city as it's cheaper and through buses and Trams also easily accessible.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Spätzle all day, every day. The food is besides that very international though.

What places would you recommend visiting in Stuttgart?

The City library. Killesberg park. The new art museum. Hohenheim and it's botanic garden. A VfB Stuttgart game. Ludwigsburg. Birkenkopf.

Is it good to eat out in Stuttgart? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Fresh sub is great. Sushispot next to Charlottenplatz. Food lounge in Königsbaupassage.

Is the nightlife good in Stuttgart? Where is good to go?

TMS in Hohenheim. Kellerklub. Tequillabar. Many more.

What advice would you give future students heading to Stuttgart?

Germans are very friendly but sometimes hardly accessible. Be patient with people be courageous and speak to people. Most people are going to be nice and friendly. No need to worry.
