What is it like to live in Strasbourg? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Strasbourg is a great place to live in, calm and beautiful to be walking around, super bike, with quite some museums, great restaurants and good night life... my year in Strasbourg is still rated as one of the best.

What is the student lifestyle like in Strasbourg?

Student life in Strasbourg is great at least at the EM Strasbourg, parties and events for international students happening all the time.

How much does it cost to live in Strasbourg?

With 600-1000 euros per month you will be totally fine in Strasbourg.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Strasbourg? Is there any advice you can give?

It is way easier to look for "Colocation" or to stay in a student residence (There are plenty in Strass) than to rent an apartment by yourself as they will always ask for a french or european person as warranty that you will pay.

I was renting an apartment and getting our deposit back when we left was a hassle, they took around 3 months.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is great you must try tarte flamblee.

What advice would you give future students heading to Strasbourg?

Look for colocation before you arrive, I would recommend taking a french course before arriving to strasss... dont forget to get your student medical insurance and to check if you are eligible for CAF (a help from the government for your rent expenses as a student).
