Why did you choose to go to Strasbourg, France?
City of encounters and cosmopolitan.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive as aid?
The 9 month of the duration of the academic year. I didn't come to receive the totality of the grant: 300 euros a month.
How is student life in Strasbourg?
Student life is very good; cheap residences, the cafeteria with very affordable prices - as well as the fact that there are many students from all over the world.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Strasbourg to other students?
It would be a very good option to open your mind quite a bit. It's a very cosmopolitan city despite its size. It's University is very good. Several Nobel prize winners have come out of it.
How is the country's food?
In regards to the country's food, I remain with the Spanish of course. However there are all kinds of restaurants and the food in the university cafeteria wasn't bad.
Did you find it difficult to find accommodation in Strasbourg?
More that finding it, the fact of contacting the residence secretary and for them to send me the adequate information on how to apply. I went several months with enough uncertainty.

How much does it cost to live in Strasbourg?
If you live in a Crous university residence and also eat at the university; adding the expenditures and so on to this, you can live quite well on 600 euros. If you're looking for a central flat or if you go to a private residence, things are already spiralling out of control and you can absolutely end up at 1, 000 euros a month.
How is the language? Did you go to any courses at the University?
The language, quite good. I went to an academy of French before leaving for Strasbourg.
What's the most affordable way of getting to Strasbourg from your city?
By plane.
Which places would you recommend to go out to party in Strasbourg?
There are several bars scattered around the city (La Salamandre, Le Café des Anges, Barco latino... ). The students usually go to Kehl - a town which is next to Strasbourg but now in Germany, where there are some clubs such as the K3.

And to eat in Strasbourg? Can you name your favourite places?
There are many restaurants to eat in Strasbourg. It also depends on each person's individual wallet.
Amongst my favourites: Au Brasseur, Happy Hours.
And as a cultural visit?
Strasbourg's cathedral is incredible, La Petite France, the European Parliament.

Any advice that you want to give to future students in Strasbourg?
That they mix with everyone and not just those of their nationality, because it's worth it and you get to know great people.
