The company history dates back to the eighties of last century: in 1984, Thomas Sabo selfmademan, big fan of jewelry, decided to start his own jewelry company with headquarters in historic Lauf an der Pegnitz Bavaria - and to give his name. A company whose intention was from the beginning to represent silver jewelry upscale with special design qualities.

A concept that has obviously paid off. Indeed, the volume of orders placed by retailers at specialized fairs has never ceased to grow.

At the time, it was tacitly admitted that the silver jewelry will have no name. At the fairs, buyers had the opportunity to see brand names in the form of trademarks - as to end customers, they still were never informed.

Given the situation, Thomas Sabo took the late 80's conclusive decision to make its debut on the market with its own brand.
