The Swedish architecture

This topic is one of the most fascinating to me, the architecture. And in Sweden have lived thousands of different tribes and cultures. One example of this is Stockholm, it is fascinating to see how the architecture, the buildings and the streets change from one area of the city to another. If you like this topic you can see many different styles here. Starting with the most ancient part of the city, Gamla Stan. Here you can see the buildings with the most typical colours of Sweden, and even more, the beams can be seen from the exterior of the house, so in this way they avoid being rotten. But there is also a Baroque area in Stockholm, for instance, the Palace of Drottningholm follows this style, current residence of the Kings of Sweden. It is characterized by its simplicity and majesty. With the arrival of the industrialization you can appreciate the growing of the city. It happened in the 19th century. If you go for a walk around Östermal, you will realize that all this area has the same aspect and follows the same patterns all over. Also, a building that stands out is the City Hall of Stockholm, due to its red brick colour. And to finish this tour, I will show you that Stockholm also has a modern area, which is Slussen and where you can see that it doesn´t have anything or very little to do with the rest. There it is located the Globen Arena, which is the most modern monument and avant-garde of the city.
