Student card is a basic document in Sweden, and i imagine everywhere. Every single university here, as i have already told you, has its particular student card.
But I do not mean your card as student; it is a card that shows you belong to student association. Do not mix with the other one.
You can use it in Stockholm for many things. First of all for the public transportation, to get some discounts there. If anybody asks you for the card and you have not must pay the fine.
It usually has to stay with you. Some discos also offer some discounts with this card and not with others like sub 26… I think it is 15 euros every semester but it is worth it. In my case, my student card is Söders.
