Why did you choose to go to Skövde, Sweden?

I wanted to go to Sweden, and Skövde was the only choice. However, it was a great opportunity as I could take the Bachelor's degree of that university.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I was in Skövde for about 10 months, from the end of August to the end of June. I received about 350 euros from different entities.

What is the student lifestyle like in Skövde?

The university is not very big. There is a disco named Boulonger which is just for university students. Different social events are organized during the year.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Skövde to other students?

If you can obtain the bachelor's degree from the university yes. If not and you have another chance, such as Stockholm, definitely not. Skövde is nice for five months, but it is too small and by the end of the course, you can know by sight to almost every student.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Skövde?

The best option for Erasmus students is Xenia. It is quite cheap, and there are a lot of foreign students, so the atmosphere is really great!

How much does it cost to live in Skövde?

Depends on the person. Accommodation can be like 350 euros/month, but food is quite expensive comparing with other countries, and alcohol even more...

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

If you know English, you can move from the whole Sweden. Even the grandmothers speak English in Sweden. At the university, the teacher will ask if there is any foreign students, and if it is like this, the course will be in English.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Skövde from your city?

From San Sebastian, there is Ryanair from Biarritz. But it is not during the whole year, so it is better to take from Bilbao a flight with Brussels Airlines.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Skövde?

There are just 3 pubs. The most economic one is Gladje. If you want to spend more money, Boogrens is the best option.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Skövde?

If you want to eat economically, cook your own food, or go to McDonald's. Other places are privative.
