All Aboard the Damas bus!!

This is my favourite part. Although we are only in Huelva 3 weeks we haven’t got much time for travelling so far but we have high aspirations to do so. As we were off University for 5 days including the weekend due to a Spanish holiday, we decided to travel to Seville. Everyone recommended us to travel and stay in Seville for many reasons but I was still blown away by its picturesque buildings and stunning parks. The walking tour guide was outstanding full of life and energy which made the tour very enjoyable whilst showing us the most popular spots to visit and telling us about Seville’s Spanish history. This was only an hour making it simple for us to do activities after. We stayed in a beautiful hostel ‘San Isidoro’, which was only about 10 minutes from the centre. The owners, workers and even tourists were so kind and helpful, I would highly recommend the accommodation. Although not just the people in the hostel were friendly as a whole I’ve noticed Spanish people go out of their way to help you when you look lost, so never be afraid to ask, even with bad Spanish like me. There are endless amount of food places in Seville, but us Irish need to stick together so the first night we ate in an Irish bar called 'O'Neill's' pub where we started off the evening with a few ciders then we had dinner. It was just delightful, its not to be missed if you are looking to have a taste the Irish cuisine. Then the next evening we visited 'The Merchant' which was a sports bar; the craic was good watching the Man United vs Everton game. As our weekend away was coming to an end we decided to order a desert to say 'au revoir' to Seville for another while, all i can say is if the wind was to blow you into 'The Merchant', the chocolate brownie is one not to miss. My favourite memory I have of Seville is the day we visited the ‘Royal Alcázar of Seville’. The sun was splitting the trees, the place was busy and the views were ‘out of this world’. I’ll not forget the feeling of looking over the balcony onto the fabulous gardens; it was magical. It is definitely one to see before a cup of coffee in ‘Hotel Alfonso XIII’, by which you feel like a princess drinking coffee where Barack Obama along with many A listers have stayed. From now we plan on visiting Morocco, Alburfera and Madrid which will hopefully keep our experiences magical and we plan on taking day trips with ‘I love Spain’ whenever we can. There is a saying in the Irish language, ‘bíonn siúlach scéalach’, which means travellers have stories to tell. So far I am thoroughly enjoying my time living in Spain and I continue to look forward to all the experiences life throws at me in during my time in Huelva.
