This place was before a lake where many poplars were growing up by the water. With the evolution of the city, the river which produced this lake changed its place and the water dissappeared from there. In its place, actually, there is a park. In the northern and in the southern parts of the park/square there are 2 pairs of heroic columns, which claim Hercules, the hero. It's a nice sight to visit one of the big amount of tapas bars in this area or just sit in the very quiet and hippie-style park.
