Why did you choose to go to Seinajoki, Finland?
I wanted to visit Finland for a long time. When i had to choose an university i decided to be a finnish one because of the high level educational system.
What is the student lifestyle like in Seinajoki?
As expected you are mostly occupied with your studies, but there are a lot of opportunities to have fun like nighlife,doing sports,participate in clubs, hike etc.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Seinajoki to other students?
Strongly.
What is the food like?
It is usual western cousine that is served in the university. The finnish cousine is too sweet for my taste.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Seinajoki?
It was easy with the assistance of the university staff and housing accommodation.
How much does it cost to live in Seinajoki?
Depends what you do, where are you going outside school etc.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
It is not an easy language, but there are available courses and techers more than willing to help. Almost everyone speak English as well.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Seinajoki from your city?
By plane.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Seinajoki?
Karma.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Seinajoki?
No. It is better to self-prepare.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Alvar Aalto center.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Seinajoki in the future?
Don't hesitate to go there. Be prepared both financially and with warm clothes.
