What is it like to live in San Diego? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Absolutely. Beautiful weather, all different kinds of people. Beaches are awesome, always something to do.

What is the student lifestyle like in San Diego?

So many universities to choose from. SDSU party scene or the more sophisticated UCSD scene. PB is also a big place to go for a crazy night out. Plenty of good local concerts all the time, pretty much any beach community has a unique drinking culture. San Diego is very spread out so you have more options than whats good for you. Just avoid drinking and driving, cops are not messing around.

How much does it cost to live in San Diego?

A bit expensive, but that depends where you are. Beach communities can be expensive unless you're in oceanside, the further inland you go the cheaper it gets.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in San Diego? Is there any advice you can give?

Yes, and its pretty expensive. More and more people are discovering SD each year, also termed America's finest city. Be prepared to fork over at least 500 - 1000 per month for a decent place depending on your proximity to the coast.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Outstanding. Mexican food is top notch, but you can find great food anywhere in SD. You name it, SD has it.

What places would you recommend visiting in San Diego?

Go see a baseball game or football game, hit up the beach, Gaslamp, pacific beach, ocean beach, mission beach, head to mexico (rosarito), the desert isn't to far, la jolla, downtown SD.

Is it good to eat out in San Diego? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Absolutely. Depending on how much you're willing to spend - downtown and la jolla for really nice spots, otherwise any Mexican food place... the more run down the better. Hole in the wall spots are usually the best.
