What is it like to live in Rzeszow? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Rzeszow is a city for young people. There are a few universities, a lot of students from different fields. In Rzeszow you can also meet people from all over the world from different organisations like AIESEC, IAESTE, Erasmus and others. It's not big city, the living is simple - everybody can find his/her place and something to do. We have great roads and a lot of bicycle paths, a river with benches to sit on, the beautiful Market Square with a lot of clubs, pubs, bars. Everybody can find something that he/she likes to do.

What is the student lifestyle like in Rzeszow?

We often meet our friends in the Market Square. There we can sit outside- eating, drinking, talking or we go clubbing. Also a lot of students meet together near the University of Technology's dormitories. There is place for barbecue, to have a good time with friends. We have also a few cinemas (almost all the films are in English with Polish subtitles so everybody can watch them). For art lovers we have the opera, the theatre, different museums, parks. Of course there are a lot of places for people to do exercise.

How much does it cost to live in Rzeszow?

Life in Rzeszow isn't expensive because we still have the Polish currency PLN. For example:

  • 1, 5 l of mineral water: 1, 5 zl=0, 40 euro
  • Bread: 2=0, 50 euro
  • Cinema ticket for students: 12 zl=3 euro
  • 0, 5 l of beer in supermarket: 2-3 zl=0, 70 euro
  • Rent of a flat per month: 300-450 zl=80-120 euro

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Rzeszow? Is there any advice you can give?

It isn't difficult, since we have this website, where you can look for rooms or flats. But the best options for students are dormitories (near Univesity of Technology on "Powstancow Warszawy" street or university's dormitories on "Cicha" street).

In the supermarkets there is a big choice of different products so everybody can cook at home, which for me is the best options.
