Experience in Rostock, Germany by Azhar
What is it like to live in Rostock? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
It's a small city and don't expect too much from it. If you are a student you will probably have a good time with other students and there are a few good clubs for parties. If you expect something big like other German cities you will be disappointed. But as a student city it's perfect, 2-3 hours train journey distance from two big cities namely Berlin and Hamburg. If you are student I would definitely recommend it for short term stay like maximum 2 years. But for longer, I don't think, is a good idea.
