20 year old girl, looking for accommodation in Rome

I am not looking for anything specific the only "must" for me is a single room. I am fluent in English as I am a student of a university in San Diego, California (originally I am polish). I would love to learn Italian while I am in Rome.
I would love for my roommate and I to have a friendly relation! We don't have to be best friends but it would be nice to maybe explore Rome or just grab lunch together once in a while and to be comfortable in a shared living space.
I will be studying in Sapienza and it would be cool if my roommate also was a student but of course it's not necessary! I am very open and I don't really have super harsh criteria.
