Cityguide Rome

Rome is a very nice city with a lot of history. In this article I want to give a couple of reasons why you should absolutely visit Rome once in your life. I have been to Rome with a friend once. I had been studying Italian for a couple of months so it was a great opportunity to practise my Italian a bit. I was also planning on going on an exchange to Italy in the next year so it was a good opportunity to get accustomed to the Italian culture. The first two days we stayed with a acquaintance of my friend in the city centre of Rome. For those few days we lived with a modern Italian family. So would we really be submerged into the Italian culture. It was a very special experience because we got to talk a lot with the parents although their English was not that well. I have tried speaking a little Italian. It was a good practice for me. We also ate at their home a few times and we got to know the authentic Italian cuisine. The food was really exquisite. In Italy you eat a few smaller courses instead of a plate full of food.
