Ritsumeikan University is one of the prestigious private universities in Japan. Kinugasa campus located in the suburb of Kyoto is surrounded by World Heritage Sites such as Kingaku-ji Temple and Ryoan-ji Temple. It takes you only 5 minutes to get to the stone garden of Ryoan-ji Temple from the main hall of College of International Relations! Kinkaku-ji Temple ? 10 minutes by walk for sure.
Biwako-Kusatsu Campus is not in Kyoto, but it is not so far from Kyoto. 40 minutes or so from Kyoto station to the campus by public transportation (Train and Bus).
