My first internship in Spain was in 2014. That was a coastal town Cambrils. The first thing we got to do was apply the papers. Sadly, I had to go to Reus. Luckily, I went with my friends who were in the same situation as me. Our inevitable travelling to Reus started with searching police department to get set for internship. Shortly after applying we went viewing small town Reus.

Reus is a quite small town but wonderful indeed. However, the town Reus compare to Cambrils much attractive. There are much more things to do and many places to see. Therefore, we did not want to come back to Cambrils after applying. We were viewing notable places and strolling around remarkable monuments.

Do you like to visit museums?

I convinced my friends to go to museum to see what kind of heritage this town has. Surely, we went to Gaudi Centre the whole museum was devoted to Antoni Gaudi, the greatest architect of Catalonia or maybe in the world. As the matter of fact Antoni Gaudi was born in Reus. He was one of those architects who dedicated his life to Modernism architecture style. Many architects and historians assume that he had special style  and no one could compete him in the 19 century. He was the most talented architect in the world. Moreover, his masterpieces were involved to "World Heritage Site" which is listed be UNESCO. These are the reasons why I grabbed my friends to the museum.

My friends and I were admiring his unique works. The most amazing masterpiece was clay-looking statue which was hanging from the ceiling like great chandelier. Also there were lizards designed the same style as at "Park Güell" It was an extraordinary exploration for all of us. We all familiarized with Gaudi's masterpieces very well.

Where to go in Reus?

Then, we walked to Joan Prim. Joan Prim was a general and statesman of Spain in the 19 century. You may see the photo below.

The other notable place what we met was the monument of Maria Fortuny. He was a phenomenal painter of Catalonia in the 19 century. The photo you may see below.

The streets of the town were interesting. Surroundings of town captured my attention, too. I admired every single thing in the town. Even that the applying papers burden on the shoulders flew away. I felt myself as a tourist there. You may see couple photos below.

After all our explorations we just spent an hour in a restaurant discussing everything that we have experienced in the town. The most fetched subject was Antoni Gaudi masterpieces at the museum because he was the man who indicated Catalan Modernism throughout Catalonia.

Eventually, I enjoyed this inevitable travelling to Reus. It appears that the town has an interesting historical impact. It was a pleasure to learn several facts about small town Reus. In fact, my friends were happy, too. I may confidently say that we killed two birds with the one stone in this trip.
