Experience in University of Reading, United Kingdom by Eleanor
Generally, what is University of Reading like?
A great place to work and be with friends. Really beautiful campus and a students union that is one of the best in the country. I never wanted to leave. Several of my friends have stayed in Reading after uni because they just loved it so much. It is such a friendly place and you can get to know lots of people I love being on a campus because its like you've got your own little student town with everything you need.
What are the facilities like?
The facilities are brilliant, amazing sports park and gym, beautiful scenery with a lake and woods, nice accommodation and the students union is AWESOME. There are loads of places it eat, party and even help with getting jobs or finding accommodation all on campus.
What are the tutors like?
My tutor is really proactive he holds a Christmas party for his tutees every year he is always there to go to for advice and he actually makes an effort to find out who you are. I know that not all tutors are as good as him though.
Are the lessons easy in University of Reading?
Depends on the subject, I do biomedical science and mine are very hard but I would be pretty annoyed if I wasn't challenged at University when we are paying so much.
Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?
YES every single day there is loads to do if you wanted. We have activities for everything I can't list them all but just as an example the student union turns in to a huge club 2 nights a week as well as having comedy nights, live gigs, dance classes, sports activities. This year I did gospel choir, ballet, arts and crafts, tap and modern and christian union.
Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?
Yes I definitely feel that I am being trained by experts
