What is it like to live in Pune? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Pune is an amazing city. It has a rich cultural history, very helpful and loving people.

What is the student lifestyle like in Pune?

Students in Pune have an amazing life. Pune University, Fergusen College are some of the top schools that I know of. Moreover, students have an exposure to industries and actual work as Pune has various industries, which are extremely specialized.

Moreover, the cost of living is relatively cheap in Pune which makes the wallets of students affordable for all the fun.

How much does it cost to live in Pune?

Depends in which area of Pune you choose to stay. But anyone can afford a decent flat (600 sqt) with 1 bedroom, hall kitchen; and you can have amazing food which is also affordable.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Pune? Is there any advice you can give?

For accommodation it is advised to contact agents. However, there are various websites which provide help.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

You get amazing food in Pune. I cannot miss to mention, Indian food is indeed spicy, and spice lovers will have amazing time having Misal pav, Wada sampber, sabudana khichadi, Zhunaka Bhakar here.

What places would you recommend visiting in Pune?

There are numerous forts, which you can drive to but I personally suggest you to trek them in monsoon.

Is it good to eat out in Pune? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It is very safe to eat in Pune, however to be on a safer side I recommend to carry your own water bottle. (Carry a water bottle rather than buy it)

Is the nightlife good in Pune? Where is good to go?

You have really good night life at Pune. There are many musical shows, DJ nights and parties.

Points to note:
1. Do not drink and drive, cops are strict on it.
2. Carry the vehicle documents, (Driving license in original)

What advice would you give future students heading to Pune?

Come with an open heart, talk to locals, visit old city to know the people. They are loving and friendly and always love a chat.

Prepare your basics well of your subject of specialization the standards at Pune Universities are really high.
