What is it like to live in Pula? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It is very lively during the summer, it has beautiful beaches, warm weather and a lot of tourists. In the winter the city is quite empty and not much going on, there are still awesome places to go for a walk. I would definitely recommend it as a tourist destination but not so much as a student city.

How much does it cost to live in Pula?

It is more expensive than some of the other Croatian cities but not very expensive but I am personally not a student in Pula so I can't say for sure.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Pula? Is there any advice you can give?

During the summer, yes.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

It depends on how much you want to spend. Food in general is very good (mostly Mediterranean and Italian cuisine but also everything else). I love all the dishes, fish Brancin, Pedoci, octopus, Fuzi (Croatian traditional dish), istarski prsut, bakalar, sardele na gradele, brodet...

As for the students, there are student restaurants like in other Croatian cities and menu is very cheap (around 1€), quality of food is okay.

What places would you recommend visiting in Pula?

A lot of local beaches (visit also Kamenjak it is not commercialized), national park Brioni and there are a lot of other places to visit. You can also go to Italy it is quite close and visit other Croatian cities like Rovinj, Porec...

Is it good to eat out in Pula? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes! Pizzeria Tivoli and Mexican restaurant El Pulari.

Is the nightlife good in Pula? Where is good to go?

Not really. During the summer maybe but not in the winter.
