Problems starting

Waking up next to my boyfriend the next day was as wonderful as sleeping next to him. We slept in because we were both so tired and when waking up we watched a bit TV and had a small breakfast in my appartment. He wanted to have a relaxing holiday, so we didn't have any special plans so far. We just knew that we wanted to rent a car for one or two days to get somewhere else than Puerto de la Cruz. But for the first day we decided just to walk around the city a bit, have a nice lunch and relax & enjoy the time together.

So after breakfast and having a shower we left the appartment and went to the beach. Unfortunately it wasn't sunny as it used to be before, it was raining from time to time and everything was grey. At the beach there were quite high waves - I had never seen them like that before - and so we spent some time watching the power of the sea which was really fascinating. We took pictures as the night before and I was so happy every single second.

As usual, we had a coffee while walking around and decided to have a look at the shops around. We didn't buy anything but it was fun to see all the weird souvenirs the shops were selling (and obviously the tourists were buying). We walked a lot, almost through half of Puerto de la Cruz, when we finally were hungry. So I went with him to the best Tapas restaurant I knew and we had a really good lunch. It was great for me to see that there was somebody enjoying the things I have been living with here for months. That was the feeling I was missing in France with my ex-boyfriend before. He didn't like France at all and was complaining the whole time. So after lunch we continued our way to a panorama platform that offers an amazing view over Puerto and the sea. Of course, we took pictures there, too, and continued our way a bit in that upper part of the city. Walking through parks, little streets, seeing all the other couples without getting sad - it was just a perfect day, even if we didn't do anything special.

In the afternoon it started to rain, so we went to the supermarket shortly and returned to my appartment to relax a bit. We enjoyed the view from the balcony, watched a bit TV and talked about many things, as always. It was the first time I really could imagine living with another person - with all the other persons before I just couldn't. In the evening we went out again, had a nice dinner in a restaurant next to the sea and some ice cream. Afterwards, we went to an Irish Pub where we had a cocktail and played some Billard. It's incredible how perfect a day can be without anything expensive or special. I hoped that the other days would be just as that one.

The next day started as the one before - we slept in, woke up a bit earlier than the day before, and had a small breakfast. Suddenly the doorbell was ringing. I couldn't imagine who it was, maybe the neighbour, but it had never happened before. So I opened and saw two women in front of me that I didn't know. One of them introduced herself as the owner of my appartment. I was a bit shocked but even more I was annoyed because I thought that I had made clear that I didn't want to have ANYONE in my appartment the week my boyfriend would be here. I told her that but she said she didn't know and that the other woman wanted to have a look at the problem in my bathroom shortly. So I let them pass and went back to my boyfriend. After some minutes they had finished and left the appartment without saying anything about the outcome of the "analysis".

So finally I took my shower and afterwards we heard somebody walking around in front of my appartment (it was the last one at the floor so usually nobody needs to walk there) but we didn't care. Suddenly, there was no water anymore. So I went out to switch it on again and to see who turned it off. There was another woman, telling me that it was her who switched off the water. She explained me that she was living in the appartment under mine and that water was entering into her bathroom because my tubes weren't working properly. I was shocked because suddenly I understood why somebody was turning off my water 3 times before. Why didn't they tell me things like that? And why didn't they let me move if there was a problem like that?

So annoyed because it was just what I didn't want it to happen - all problems in the week my boyfriend was here - I called my responsible person in the real estate agency and asked what was going wrong. She told me, as always, that she was about to call me and  that there was a problem in my bathrom (oh, really?!) and I had to move THAT DAY because I couldn't use the water in my appartment anymore. I guess if my boyfriend wouldn't have been there I would have started to cry immediately. I spent one whole week going there, asking if I would have to move, if there were any more problems, just to prevent that single case. And, of course, I had to move now. I told her that I would come to the agency to talk about it and told my boyfriend what happened. He was shocked, too, but we got ready and went to the agency which was only 5 minutes away from my house.
