Nightlife can be hit and miss. If you are at one of the schools RISD, Brown, Johnson & Whales there are plenty of college parties if you are just out and about there are some bars and clubs downtown and Federal Hill.

DO IT. Providence is the perfect city for a student, not too big, not too small with a huge variety of things to do for those on any kind of budget.
