Volunteering with Libraries and Social Institutions for Society Education

Labas! I am Anna from Yakutia. its nothern part of Russian Federation, the coldest place in the world.. I am 24 years old. My project is in Lithuania, particulary in small town named Prienai. Im working with elderly people in care home. There are live approximately 200 residences in Globos namai. My activities include different kind of things. Every person in care home has personal preference, diverse interests and hobbies. For more orginizing of my work i have plan per a week. For example I start to work at 9am. From 9-10 am its time for preparation before work And 10 am I usually ready to begin my working process- I have definite plan for a day. How I said every person different and for better communication you should find some "special way'' for it. Basically I help residences with computer skills, 2 times per a week I have lithuanian lessons with elderly man, I spend time with woman who likes hand made crafts, one woman is very musical person, she would like to play at piano and song, etc.. Besides I involve in orginizing of enternteiment- theater of dolls, fairy taile, work therapy (crafts). I like my project. I think that is the best experience in my life cause I can learn more interesting things, find out many important things, I have chance to get new awareness. Anyway its good life school. I greatful for it)
