What is it like to live in Prague? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Prague is the one and only metropolis of the Czech Republic. You can get everything you need and almost everything you are used to from your hometown. With its beautiful and often unique architecture is must-visit city if you have a curious mind and like to explore new beautiful places.

What is the student lifestyle like in Prague?

Plenty of opportunities every single day of week to attend - parties, theatres, exhibitions, cinemas - just to name a few.

How much does it cost to live in Prague?

The whole Czech Republic is quite cheap for most of people from "western countries", but the others does not need to worry either. Just watch out overexpensive tourist places in the city center - especially around Old Town Square.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Prague? Is there any advice you can give?

Your host university in Prague should provide it for you. If you are just a short-term visitor, you can use service of plenty cheap ho(s)tels.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

As a melting pot of nations in Central Europe, you can find big varienty of cuisines there in Prague. I love Czech cuisine, it suits the best with beer and you should definitely try some of the traditional meals like goulash, pork-cabbage-duplings or original marinated beef sirloin.

What places would you recommend visiting in Prague?

Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square and surroundings, Vysehrad, ...

Is it good to eat out in Prague? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

School cafeteria is sometimes not so bad and usually worth for price you pay.

Is the nightlife good in Prague? Where is good to go?

Depends on what music style you prefer. One of the most interesting places in Cross Club.

What advice would you give future students heading to Prague?

Don't worry about anything and enjoy your stay there!
