Experience in Prague, Czech Republic by Diana
What is it like to live in Prague? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Prague is a beautiful city with a lot of places to visit. They mostly live from tourism and everything seems clean and fun in the town center. Then you will discover that there are a lot of homeless in the streets. The state doesn't do anything for them and even the police hits them if they are around the tourist areas. The best thing they can do is sleep in the night trams, but no worries, they are not dangerous.
What is the student lifestyle like in Prague?
To be a foreign student in this city is not easy. If you do not speak czech then you will not be integrated with other czech students and get ready to some rude old people. Sometimes they can be very racists. If you assume this, you will be able to enjoy the city with other erasmus students. There are lot of bars and clubs and beer is pretty cheap!
How much does it cost to live in Prague?
Room in a share flat: 6000-8000 Czk
Public tranport: 500 Czk per month

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Prague? Is there any advice you can give?
It is easy, there are many websides in English. Just check it on internet. Avoid student's residencies since they are expensive in comparation with their low quality.

Meat, meat and more meat..Difficult for a vegetarian like me :)
