Why did you choose to go to Prague, Czech Republic?

Because I liked the city

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

6 months. 400 €/month

What is the student lifestyle like in Prague?

Studying, going to pubs (clubs are basically for erasmus students), many pubs with live music and a lot of beer. Erasmus people usually study, travel (so prague is in the middle of Europe) and meet new friends from around the world. It's easier to join erasmus students than czech students.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Prague to other students?

Sure.

What is the food like?

Many soups, Meat and beer

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Prague?

No. The university helped me to find a residence. Once there, it is not difficult to move to a flat.

How much does it cost to live in Prague?

It's cheap.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

It's a difficult language but there are courses available in university

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Prague from your city?

flight. But from Prague to other cities like Wien or Berlin it's easier and cheaper to use train or bus

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Prague?

depending on the night. There are many clubs (usually for foreign people) and every night there is an Erasmus party in one of them. For instance Sasazu or karlovylazne. Pubs are great and good. Some of them: propaganda, vagon, ...

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Prague?

Yes, but I can't remember the names... a good czech one was in Namesti Republiky

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

the museum in wenceslao square, charles bridge, the castle,... and some beautiful towns in Czech Republic: karlovi vary or chesky krumlov, for example

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Prague in the future?

Just enjoy, travel and be ready to meet amazing people from everywhere.
