Why did you choose to go to Prague, Czech Republic?

i was recommended to choose Prague as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe! besides the way different pasts of the city and the different cultures living within the city .

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

half year. ended up needing seven months.
i get a scholarship of 1200 euros for the 6 months.

What is the student lifestyle like in Prague?

it was quite good. you have time to do everything. the transports help you a lot going everywhere in the city. Tram metro and bus are really good.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Prague to other students?

absolutely.

What is the food like?

there are restaurants of almost all the kinds of food.
the czech food..in restaurants i found it good. a bit saucy, bit good.
The cantinas were the only week point

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Prague?

i asked before the semester for an accommodation in the dorm of the University. the conditions weren't good, but it was really cheap. 80 euros per month.

to rent a room in the city was quite expensive for my budget.
i was asked to pay 250 to 350 for a room. for an erasmus student was a bit.
i decided to have a bad accommodation and use the money for a better life.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

the language is extremely hard to learn. i manage now to speak 4 languages on a working level. czech is the hardest i learnt until now.
in PRague english is the only language needed. with so much foreigners you hardly need Czech language.
language courses are available.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Prague from your city?

by plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Prague?

so much bars and pubs and cafes
louvre and Slavia and the cafes near namesti miru

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Prague?

Kmotra, a pizzaria
pivovarsky dum a czech food

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Prague in the future?

aware of pickpocketing! use the wallet always on the front pocket.
never happened to me but you never know!
