Why did you choose to go to Prague, Czech Republic?

I did not choose it, at first I was supposed to go to England. But I realize that I am much more better here!!

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

One year, I received 200€ per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Prague?

Very cosy, you can go out whenever you want, and wherever you want. You get to meet lots of people in parties, bars, parks...

Would you recommend the city and the University of Prague to other students?

Absolutely. Coming here was by far the best decision I made. Its the best city for Erasmus, there is so many students, and the city itself is perfect: it is quite small but big at a time, welcoming, beautiful and there are so many things to do.

What is the food like?

The czech food is quite particular, if you like eating lots of meat, you should enjoy it. Otherwise, the food is quite the same from my country: supermarkets have all the basics and it is really cheap: for like 10-15€ per week, you can eat very well.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Prague?

Yes. Because I am in an agency.

How much does it cost to live in Prague?

The flat I have costs me around 400€ per month, and I spend around 200€ for the rest per month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The basics are easy to understand, and yes there are courses.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Prague from your city?

Metro or tram

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Prague?

Chapeau Rouge ( careful about the music there, it depends on the night ), Roxy, Nebe, Dog's bar, U Sudu ...

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Charles Bridge at 3a.m, walks by the river, Prague Castle (obviously), cities around, get lost in the streets...

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Prague in the future?

Don't hesitate and come to Prague.
