Why did you choose to go to Prague, Czech Republic?

Never been there, heard form everyone that is an amazing and beautiful city (confirmed). Besides, it's cheap (confirmed :D ) and it's in the heart of Europe: quite convenient for travelling around.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

1 semester, 230€ per month

What is the student lifestyle like in Prague?

Great. Lots of parties, very international city so you get to meet lots of other foreign students, but czech youngsters are really nice people as well. Besides, city attractions offer many discount for students.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Prague to other students?

Yes

What is the food like?

Ok, cheap, but not very varied. Mostly meat and potatoes

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Prague?

Luckily not. But agencies' fees are quite common (usually 1month rent)

How much does it cost to live in Prague?

If you don't indulge too much, you can get by with not that much money.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Not much. Yes there are language courses available at Uni.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Prague from your city?

Low cost airlines / car pooling

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Prague?

Not pub crawls. It's for tourists suckers. In the center: alternatiff area, propaganda, chapeu rouge (quite touristy), u sudu (really nice). Clubbing: one of the most characteristic/particular is cross club.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Prague?

Lokal (dlouha trida) & U mecenase (malastrana), near St. Nicholas Church.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

astronomical clock, old town square, lesser town (malastrana), castle, etc....

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Prague in the future?

Watch out for scams and illegal taxis. Try always to flag down a AAA Taxi, they're the best ones.
