Why did you choose to go to Prague, Czech Republic?

Because I had heard a lot of good references about it, not only like a really amazing city but also about the University.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I was there for a semester, and I receipt about 1700 euros to live there.

What is the student lifestyle like in Prague?

Prague is a really multicultural city where you can find students from all over the world. There are several faculties with diferent kind of studies and really great libraries.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Prague to other students?

Of course yes.

What is the food like?

The food is in a European style, perhaps a bit heavy and spicy meals are tipical, but you can find almost every typeof meal in all the restaurants and supermarkets.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Prague?

I was looking for a flat once I arrived there, but I think it didn't take more than a week.

How much does it cost to live in Prague?

Prague is not a very expensive place to live, specially for the food that I think it's cheaper than in Spain.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Of course there are some Czech courses but personally, I didn`t take it because everybody there speaks English fluently.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Prague from your city?

In my case, the best way to arrive is by plane from Madrid or Barcelona.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Prague?

There are a lot of different places to enjoy the Prague nightlife: Retro, Sazazú, Chapeau Rouge, James Dean, the riverside, ...

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Prague?

For example, everybody must eat pork ribs at Budvarka (near Strahov).

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There are a lot of interesting cultural places there. I recommend the free tour around Prague old center and also the Castle.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Prague in the future?

Be ready for drinking liters of beer (pivo) because it's the cheapest drink there, even cheaper than water, try Becherovka and above all enjoy the magic that surrounds a great city like Prague.
