Why did you choose to go to Prague, Czech Republic?
Prague has great location, it's in the centre of Europe and has good public transportation these things help to travel along the Europe which was one of the biggest wishes of mine.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
Scholarship is 400 euros per month. Renting flat in Prague is a bit expensive but if you find cheaper place to stay the amount of money is pretty good because everything here is kinda cheap. Especially food and entertainments, which is the most important things for students.
What is the student lifestyle like in Prague?
Be a student in Prague is great! The city is full of night clubs and pubs. Everyone can find a good place according their needs!
Would you recommend the city and the University of Prague to other students?
The teachers in my university have very good English skills and Prague has everything what student could want and need so yes! I definitely recommend this city!
What is the food like?
Traditional Czech cuisine has heavy food. But some people might like it. However its very easy to find other kind of food or just simply buy something in supermarket and cook at home.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Prague?
I was very lucky to find a good dormitory in a good price.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Czech language is not easy but my university offers courses for the beginners so you can try to learn some basics.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Prague from your city?
From Lithuania you can reach Prague by bus.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Prague?
City center. It's not hard to find good place to spend an evening because it's full of it. However 'Nebe'club is one of my favorites.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Every time when you are passing the Old Town Square you are fascinated by it's beauty. Here, there is a park where you can have the best view of Prague which is impressive. And of course Prague castle.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Prague in the future?
If you are in Prague do not spend too much time at home, take the opportunity and explore the city! It's a big one, it has a lot to see and it has a great public transportation which helps you to reach different points very easily!
