Why did you choose to go to Prague, Czech Republic?

I had an internship opportunity in a good company at the position that fits me the most.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

6 months, 500€ per month

What is the student lifestyle like in Prague?

Prices are reasonable so you can live thru on a student budget.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Prague to other students?

I can't judge that, since I didn't study there.

What is the food like?

In general Czech cusine is sweet and heavy. Most of the traditional dishes go with dumplings, bread or potato, but since the town is multicultural you won't have a hard time finding something else.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Prague?

The price of a 50 square m apartment was 11000 KČ including bills and internet

How much does it cost to live in Prague?

Since you can find lunch for 100-150 Kč I believe you don't need more than 20.000 per month for a decent student life. Depends on the accommodation price...

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Slavic speakers won't have problem with Czech

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Prague from your city?

Student open card, public transport is great not only for it's almost perfect traffic but for prices also.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Prague?

Small caffe bars around the old town.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Prague?

Don't remember the name, but it's located at the bottom of Vaclavske Namesti, next to the Costa Coffe. Also, "Stari Časi" (maybe it's spelled with "y") is also good.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Too many of them, but don't miss the Castle.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Prague in the future?

If you can, avoid winter in Prague.
