Dog's Bar

So this amazingly crazy place called “Vzorkovna” but most of the people remember it as dogs bar. It is an underground cozy bar with few dogs walking around as you may guessed by it’s famous name. The place has a lot of space to sit and enjoy your drinks or just to chill and gossip, you will find wooden benches and tables or seat walls made of wreck doors, but the way they utilised or recycled them is quite admiring. You will find some amazing drinks and foods on a very reasonable price or if I say cheap but pleasant it won't be wrong.

The bar works something like this; on the entrance you will be provided with an electronic chip usually attached with a hand band, so you have to fill that chip on the entrance of the bar with minimum of 50 to 60 CZK and later you use your chip to buy drinks or food inside the bar with the whole amount you paid at the entrance so basically you just pay for your drinks and food that you consume no entrance fee. but you can only recharge your chip on the entrance so for example if you finish your amount in chip you have to come back to entrance to recharge it. At the time of leaving bar after having an amazing time which I am sure you will have, you will get your remaining amount at the exit of bar if there is amount remaining.

I will recommend you to reach at the bar as soon as possible in the evening specially on weekends because they take a limited number of people inside the bar to keep it cozy and entertaining so the remaining people usually wait in a queue outside, as people leave the bar then people waiting outside can get in, but trust me even waiting in the queue outside with your company is an amazing experience in it’s self.

The bar cover a huge underground space with different places to gather around or sit around the table or even climb and sit on the wall, no I am not joking it really has wooden seat walls on the sides, (a friendly advice don't try to sit on those seat walls when you are extremely drunk).

Moreover the bar has a mini concert place where bands or musician and even visitors perform time to time.

I can go on and on writing about this memorable place during my Erasmus journey but for now I guess it’s enough. Hopefully you will have an amazing time at Dogs Bar, have fun.
