Welcome to the forum for Erasmus Porto 2011 / 2012!

TO RENT: Fully furnished house with 4 rooms, fully equipped kitchen and large lawn garden.
In Foz, only 5 minutes walk from Católica University and 12 min bus ride from Letras, Ciencias etc.

Hello guys!...I'm going to Porto for my erasmus form September to February 2011/2012 and I'm also looking for some place to stay. I would like to rent a room in some flat close to Faculdade de Letras UP. I'm going to Fernando Pessoa too! but I'm not sure wheter to stay in a flat or in the residence of the university...
If everything goes well, I will be there the whole year to study the 4th year of dentistry.

Olá! I'll be on my Erasmus from Sept-June '11 at the Faculdade de Letras at the Universidade do Porto.
I'm planning to arrive at the end of August to start looking for a flat, but will probably stay in a hostel for the first few days.. Anyone else? Mal posso esperar para chegar ao Porto! :)

I'm from London and will be studying at FLUP (Porto Uni) from this September until June/July! Can't wait :)
Would really like to stay in a nice apartment somewhere lively like the city centre. Anybody else doing the same course or looking to live in a similar place? Let me know!

Hi Ana.
If you still haven't decide where to live I can give you some tips
In Vila do Conde you have a student's residence. I believe it's there that most of the erasmus students that attend ESEIG stay. However if you don't want to go to the residence you can find a flat/house to rent with a cheap rent.
If you prefer to stay in Porto you will live in a bigger city than Vila do Conde, rents tend to be expensive and if you want to go to classes, Vila do Conde is 45/50 minutes subway ride.
You have to choose between a Small Town and a Large Town.
