A garden that was not not very popular in the past but that today is one of the most “ cool ” places to enjoy the sunset. With a fantastic view over the Douro River, people gather here at the end of the day with drinks and snacks (but there is a cafe right next door with beer and cheap food!) And occasionally there are bands playing music live. A young and very informal environment.

Jardim do Passeio Alegre (Happy Tour Garden)

In the river mouth area, often called the “elitist” area, this beautiful garden whose main characteristic are the huge palm trees that extend down the street. A place where the river meets the sea , in a peaceful atmosphere. The landscape is even more beautiful thanks to the lighthouses and small boats on the river.

Jardim do Palácio de Cristal (Crystal Palace Garden)

The gardens surrounding the Jardim do Palácio de Cristal (Crystal Palace) are very romantic , which is why couples like to stroll around here in the late afternoon. What makes this garden so unique are its special residents: peacocks who freely roam the garden, displaying their exotic colors.

Espaço Porto Cruz (Oporto Cruz Space)

The rooftop of the Espaço Porto Cruz (Porto Cruz Space) is modern and has a very " fancy " atmosphere. The music is always lively and here it is possible to dance and enjoy an incredible view over Oporto and the D. Luís bridge. With a glass of Oporto wine , of course!

Jardim do Morro (Morro Garden)

Another garden that was not so well attended in the past but has now been remodeled and is super “ in ”. On the side of Gaia, who crosses the D. Luís bridge on foot, there is this garden with a spectacular view over the Douro river and the city of Oporto. Ideal to enjoy the sunset with friends !

Praia de Matosinhos (Matosinhos Beach)

For those who like the sunsets at the beach , Matosinhos beach have the best! Sit on one of the terraces of the Edifício Transparente (Transparent Building) and watch the surfers be still in the sea as the sun disappears over the horizon.

Mirajazz

A rooftop hidden at the top of the Escadas do Caminho Novo . Here it is possible to drink a cocktail and grab a bite to the sound of jazz music live from 6 pm. It's a good idea to go early to reserve a place!

Guidalense

A bar once frequented only by locals and which has become increasingly popular, for its extraordinary view of the Fernandina wall . A space for socializing that has table soccer and even... Papagaio ! (brazilian style steakhouse)

Base

A bar more on the " fancy " side, located in the center of the city, in front of Torre dos Clérigos . It is a pleasant space, made for occasionally organizing "sunsets" (parties that happen specifically during sunset) with DJs late at night. An ideal meeting place!

Marina da Afurada

If you like to be fascinated by ships , Marina da Afurada is a pleasant terrace where you can see the sunset from a different perspective
