What is it like to live in Plymouth? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It has a lot of natural beauty in and around the city. Right along the coast with scenic views.
There's a large shopping centre and a market.

What is the student lifestyle like in Plymouth?

There's several places to go out partying in Plymouth, but it's not much to rave about. Plenty of student accommodation, great art facilities if you're studying that.

How much does it cost to live in Plymouth?

It is one of the cheaper places to live in the UK and nights out I find don't cost me more than £30.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Plymouth? Is there any advice you can give?

As I live at home I'm not sure on this one. There's always new accommodation being built though.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Fish and chips is probably a must to try down here. That's the only real specialty we have.

What places would you recommend visiting in Plymouth?

The hoe is lovely to walk around. The barbican has lots of quaint shops and good places to eat.
The Warner Village is where most the entertainment is, bowling, arcade, food, cinema and a night club.

Is it good to eat out in Plymouth? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There's a nice variety of food. Lots of generic restaurants and fast food but there's lots others as well.
I personally love Lorenzos which is a nacho and tapas restaurant.

Is the nightlife good in Plymouth? Where is good to go?

It's not great. There's only one big club called Pryzm. North Hi is the student strip. The barbican is more relaxed drinking.

What advice would you give future students heading to Plymouth?

Make sure you get a place close to the town centre. That way everything you could want is in walking distance.
