What is it like to live in Piura? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Living in Piura is nice and lovely. You can arrive fast to any place because everything is close. If you go to Piura, you must go to the beaches like Colán, Mancora and Punta Sal. You can have a nice trip in a boat or catch shells on the shore. It's always a sunny day in Piura so don't forget your sunscream. And visit Piura- Peru.
What is the student lifestyle like in Piura?
Student lifestyle is cool, we used to attend classes in the morning and then before lunch we go to eat some "ceviche" with some friends, there are many restaurants near the universities. Also go for an ice cream always is a good idea too. After afternoon classes we used to visit some friends at home and order some food.
How much does it cost to live in Piura?
Living in Piura is not very expensive. You can buy things with comfortable prices in the grocery store and on downtown.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Piura? Is there any advice you can give?
It's not difficult, but if you want a nice place to stay it's better to look for it quick, you can choose between living in downtown or in a residence or urbanization.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The food in Piura is delicuous, I say this not becuase I live there, I say it becuase it is reaaaaally good. Everyone should try it. The most delicious "ceviche" is in Piura. I really like it, I also like "Pollo a la brasa" (chicken with fries) and "Lomo saltado" (meat with fries). Go to Piura and try it!!!
What places would you recommend visiting in Piura?
In Piura I would recommend to go to the Cathedral in the city center. Also everyone should go to the beaches and to the restaurants.
Is it good to eat out in Piura? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
It is very good to eat out in Piura. My favourite spots are: "La Bocca", "La Tomasita", "La santitos", "Bottega", "Capuccino" and Hotel Casa Andina.
Is the nightlife good in Piura? Where is good to go?
It's good. I would recommend go to "El Molino". It's is a place with delicious and fancy restaurants that look amazing at night, there are also a club on the second floor and you can call for a reservation for you and your friends.
What advice would you give future students heading to Piura?
If go in summertime make sure you go to the beach and If you go on winter time, you don't need too much clothes because there isn't very cold.
