Why did you choose to go to Pittsburg, United States?

Because it was the partner university from my university in France.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I don't really remember because it was 3 years ago... I did not get any scholarship from Erasmus because I was actually an exchange student but I had other scholarships for french student.

What is the student lifestyle like in Pittsburg?

Very nice .. living on campus in that small city in the middle of Kansas was really nice since the campus was bearly another city in the city...

Would you recommend the city and the University of Pittsburg to other students?

Why not ... Since it is small,people are really friendly and close to each other..

What is the food like?

I was eating every day in the dinning hall sicne I was sleeping in the dormitories (I was underage so I had no choice) and I must say it wasnt really good but I survived ...

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Pittsburg?

No, the university find the dormitories for me

How much does it cost to live in Pittsburg?

Since I was living on campus and in the dormitories, not so much

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes for the courses ... Language, especially the accent was a bithard to catch at the very beginning but then I improve my level very fast

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Pittsburg from your city?

wow ... long travel .. No easy way .. planes, plus taxi/car

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Pittsburg?

Not much to go out but a couple nice bars with dance floor we used to go every single weekends ;)

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Pittsburg?

Dont remember the names, one in front of walmart with asian food, and another one close by very good...

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Not much

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Pittsburg in the future?

Since you will be mixed with exchange students from all around the world and living on campus, you basically don't really care what's out and even if I thought 9 months there would be long it was actually really awesome ..
I met a lot of people, discovered the countryside part of america, where the people are really warm and welcoming (the opposite of my prejudice when I first arrived) , I travelled a lot all over the country, I had a lot of parties and a great time ...
