Why did you decide to go to Pisa, Italy?
It was actually my fourth option because it is well known for its student atmosphere.
How long is the internship? How much money do you receive for support?
It works according to the area. In Andalucía, depending on your language level, they give you a 7 or 9 month internship, depending on the country. For the Erasmus in Italy it is around 300 euros which in Andalucía you can add 100 euros more, if you have had the scholarship the year before.
What is the student lifestyle like in Pisa?
There are loads of students in Pisa from almost all over Italy, mainly the south, so there is always a lot of atmosphere in the streets.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Pisa to other students?
I would 100% recommend Pisa to do Erasmus. Regarding the university, I study Law and it all depends on picking subjects wisely, looking for those which are easier.
How is the food in the country?
Tuscan food is delicious.
Was it difficult to find accommodation?
Yes because the prices are expensive and the houses are very old, so I recommend prioritizing being central.
How much does it cost to live in Pisa?
The flat is about 300-350 a month with bills.
And for food if you go to Eurospin you will spend half the price of the supermarkets in the city centre.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? ¿Do you do any university courses?
With Italian you can pick it up straight away, but I recommend studying a bit before going.
What is the cheapest way to get to Pisa from your city?
I am from Córdoba, so I go Seville - Pisa.
Where do you recommend to go on a night out in Pisa?
Bazeel, Akua Keta, Vettovaglie...
And eating in Pisa? Can you share your favourite places?
Ghiotteria, Scuderia, aperitivis del Caino, Skyline, piazza delle Vettovaglie...
What cultural sites are there to visit?
La torre, Piazza dei Cavalieri, Ponte di mezzo, chiesa Santa María della Spina, corso Italia...
Do you have any advice for future students heading to Pisa?
Make the most of it and meet Italian people besides Erasmus!
