What is the student lifestyle like in Pisa?
During the day you can go to do shopping or walk in Corso Italia and Borgo stretto and then Aperitivo. then you can go to eat something in one of the awsome restaurants or "pizzerie" and then meet other students in Piazza Garibaldi or Piazza Cavalieri to talk and stand, then we can go in one of the several pubs in the city center to drink or dance...of course after studying ;)
How much does it cost to live in Pisa?
live in pisa is not that expansive in comparison to other city..usually rent is between 270euro-330 euro plus bills..then you can buy food in Pam or Carrefour or, when you too lazy to cook, you can go to "mensa" to eat and whit 4 euros you can have complete meal (main course, second, fruit/dessert, drink, bread
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Pisa? Is there any advice you can give?
find an accomodation in Pisa is not difficult but you need to "move" in time...if you want to find a place in just 3 days you can not be pretencius ;)..by the way usually the ESN staff (erasmus student network) help the erasmus to find accomodation
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
my favourite dish here (in Tuscany) is, of course, the Fiorentina..it's a meat hight like 2-3cm and it's weight is around 600gr- 1kg...amazing :)
What places would you recommend visiting in Pisa?
in Pisa of course you've to visit the tower and battistero..also Piazza dei cavalieri..this are the most famous place to visit here ..but you can find something historical in each streat of Pisa
Is it good to eat out in Pisa? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
when i don't want to spend much money i just go to eat a pizza or sandwich..my favourite spot to eat Pizza is called "piccola capri" it's a small place but pizza there are the best i've ever eat...or if you like sandwich with beer from all over the europe you can go in Mediceo to eat
Is the nightlife good in Pisa? Where is good to go?
nightlife could be a bit boring after several years here but for a short time it's very nice..there are some little clubs in the city center where you can go to dance or just drink and talk..sometimes ESN organize train or bus for some of the most big Disco in Versilia..and there is really crazy :
