Experience in Pisa, Italy by Alessio
What is it like to live in Pisa? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
It's very cool for students: a lot of nice people, good weather and good food. The University is extremely good, too (even too tough sometimes).
What is the student lifestyle like in Pisa?
You can basically hang out every evening (good weather and good people).
How much does it cost to live in Pisa?
I would say 600 € per month with everything included (even less, but with 700 € you will have a lot of fun).
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Pisa? Is there any advice you can give?
It's not difficult (there are loads of students) but you have to be lucky to find a cheap and cool one. You need to spend a while searching.
What places would you recommend visiting in Pisa?
Piazza dei miracoli, Piazza dei cavalieri, the markets in Piazza delle Vettovaglie, Lungarni, Piazza Garibaldi, the expositions in Palazzo Blu...
Is it good to eat out in Pisa? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Yes, basically everywhere (it depends on tastes and budgets).
Is the nightlife good in Pisa? Where is good to go?
Hanging out you will always find people and things to do.
What advice would you give future students heading to Pisa?
You should meet other students and have a lot of fun.
